Therapists, Threats, and Serial Killers

Posted: 14th October 2012 by averagejoe in Uncategorized

Hey guys, a lot of stuff has happened recently. Check below for my thoughts on the most recent developments.

For references sake, I’ve uploaded what we found in the Therapist’s voice mail. I don’t know about you, but I have no idea how Joan is handling this all. Any one of these messages would chills down my spine. The first couple are from Todd, who seems trying to reform… but those people at the end? They seem all too familiar to me.

New sites!

Posted: 10th October 2012 by averagejoe in Uncategorized

It seems our two detectives, Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot, have set up their own websites for their respective detective services:

Holmes Investigations

Little Grey Cells at Work

Edward’s added the links to the sidebar, as with all the sites we’re coming across. The list is starting to get a bit long, so we’ve discussed it and we’ve decided to take the advice of some of the forum members and split it into categories. As soon as I figure out the best way to organise them, that is!

An Unexpected Find!

Posted: 9th October 2012 by averagejoe in Uncategorized

Hey guys, I have some fascinating news. I don’t know if this is legit or not, but one of agents– the amazing Pixelmage– has found what look like more POIs. Three of them at once! If these are real, it looks like we have a lot more wall-crossers on our hands than any of us thought.

I’m thinking that first one is real at least, judging by Long John Silver’s tweets. I won’t add these until we have some confirmation, but if they’re the real deal, we’ll have to put in our all to keep up with them. As always, thank you for the help, everyone!

EDIT: Looks like Mr. A just confirmed all three. I’m starting to wonder if we have enough man-power to deal with all of these characters.

Message in a bottle

Posted: 9th October 2012 by averagejoe in Uncategorized

So, a while ago, our friend/tormentor the Cheshire Cat gave us a series of riddles, eventually leading us to the statue at these coordinates. While we were not 100% sure what we would find, Mr. Admin basically ordered us to go there… and after a while, we managed to.

And we found nothing.

At this point, many of us, including me, assumed whatever the Cat had been tweeting at had probably been lost — thrown away, or obtained by some hostile party. Luckily, however, one of us — Thewhiteknight — wasn’t quite satisfied. He went back to the site, deciding to look over the statue again. I think it’s safe to say he found what the cat was hinting at:

A message in an old bottle, looking worn from it’s journey. Upon managing to get the bottle open, Thewhiteknight found this:

Unless someone is majorly pulling our leg (which I don’t believe is the case), the above note was sent by Long John Silver, who was lost at sea at the time he dropped the note. He seems to have recently found safety ashore — in Japan, specifically, and has apparently taken quite a liking to tweeting, like several other fictionals.

To add to it all, he claims to have a traveling buddy: Gulliver. If this is the Gulliver  of Lilliput fame, we have not one but two new fictionals on our hands. Gulliver, however, still needs to be verified.

I’ll get Edward to add Long John’s Twitter to the sidebar. Also, sorry for the delay in the video update… still looking for a better place to settle down.

The Emerald Party

That’s apparently the ticket that the Wicked Witch of the West is running on. She’s looking for a campaign manager, according to the ad on the back of the Don Quixote article (nice job, guys!), and is currently accepting applications at TheEmeraldParty@gmail.com.

I have to wonder, though. Will this help us figure out how to send her back? I’m not sure, but at the same time…I’m kind of along for the ride. Maybe this will lead to us figuring out who sent me all those letters, at least.

Speaking of. Switched locations again today. Received a handful of letters, none of which sounded particularly non-threatening. I’ll try to do a video update soon.

In the news again…

Posted: 6th October 2012 by averagejoe in Uncategorized

So, our wannabe knight managed to get himself in the news with his recent antics. We need to get those warning labels up, quickly, to minimize the damage. We don’t want him getting in trouble with the police.

I can’t help but feel a court case involving a fictional character would be awkward for everyone.

Quixote-Proofing

Posted: 4th October 2012 by averagejoe in Uncategorized

It really didn’t take long for you all to notice how confusion prone our newest discovery, Don Quixote, was. For the last several hours, it seems we’ve been occupying a lot of our time trying to prevent him from starting duels with street signs and swearing fealty to burger joints.

As a result, Mr. Administrator has proposed we make warning labels to put on things that may confuse Quixote. To post the example he gave:

I believe the hope is that, when these labels are placed on key objects, Quixote will not make whatever mistake he would be likely to make upon seeing them. It’s a crazy idea, but it just might work.

All the labels are generated using this website: http://www.warninglabelgenerator.com/ Mr. A also recommended that we put “Watchthefootage.com” on them, so that individuals who have no idea what is going on will not be confused. As a potential side effect, these labels may bring new people to our cause — that can never be a bad thing.

So, if you have the chance, take a moment to Quixote-proof your area today.

Knight without his armor

Mr. A decided to help us out and gives us the Twitter account of one Don Quixote, who seems like he’s on the verge of making deadly mistakes left and right. Let’s keep an eye on him, make sure he doesn’t attack a truck or a nuclear power plant or something.

Witch Hunt

One of you emailed this to me… it apparently ran in the “Topeka Times” a few days ago. I don’t think the paper took it seriously, but reading it myself, I’m pretty sure there is little doubt we have another fictional on our hands. I’m also pretty sure we can all guess from this article who she is:

You know, as freaky as this stuff is... this article kind of amused me.

So, the only question I have now is… where is she? If any of you find further trace of her, let me know.

About that letter

Posted: 1st October 2012 by averagejoe in Uncategorized

So, I don’t know how you guys do it, but somehow you made sense of that freaky letter I posted. Turns out, it was a warning for me to keep an eye out for someone whom the sender deemed dangerous — and directed us to this blog here, which is currently being posted on by one “Hugh Hefner.”  And, uh, I think it’s safe to say that whoever is posting, it’s not really Hugh Hefner. You guys seem to be running with the theory that the poster is Sherlock Holmes, and while that makes a lot of sense, I’m not quite ready to make that call yet.

Anyway, Edward has set up a subforum for discussing him here. I’m going to add a link to this new blog to the side bar as soon as I can, as well.

You guys are amazing. Keep up the good work.
